Multiphysics Modeling with Application to Biomedical Engineering (Original PDF from Publisher)
The purpose of this book is to give a foundation for researchers in the biomedical area to conduct further exploration by introducing simulation of various physical fields and their applications for biomedical engineering .
Three levels are used to categorize the entire text . The first level introduces the distinct physical disciplines , such as structural analysis , fluid simulation , thermal analysis and acoustic modeling . The second level then consists of numerous couplings between two physical fields , including fluid structural interaction (FSI) , acoustic FSI , porous media ,structural thermal coupling and fluid structural interaction (FSI) . The third level of the model focuses on multi-coupling , which is the coupling with more than two physical fields .
Each component at all levels is organized according to its physical characteristics , finite element implementation , modeling process in ANSYS and specific biomedical engineering applications , such as the FSI study of abdominal aortic aneurysm (AAA) , acoustic wave transmission in the ear and heat generation in breast tumors . The book should aid in the numerical simulation of diverse biological coupling difficulties by researchers and graduate students . Additionally , it ought to give all readers a better grasp of different couplings .
