Supramolecular Chemistry in Biomedical Imaging (ISSN) (Original PDF from Publisher)
by Gearoid O Maille , Thorfinnur Gunnlaugsson and Stephen Faulkner
Supramolecular chemistry has played a significant part in the development of contemporary imaging techniques , which has resulted in numerous significant advancements in the field of biomedical imaging in recent years .
Numerous biological activities , from host-guest binding to the stabilization of complex structures , depend on non-covalent supramolecular interactions . Using supramolecular chemistry methods , probes can be made that can be directed to either take advantage of or disrupt these interactions , potentially having both diagnostic and therapeutic effects . Controlling the interactions between solvent molecules and the imaging agent is also essential for the development of techniques like contrast enhanced MRI .
The synthesis and study of molecular imaging agents have grown quickly and the knowledge of their . Supramolecular Chemistry in Biomedical Imaging (ISSN)
