The 22nd Polish BBE Conference was held at the Nalecz Institute of Biocybernetics and Biomedical Engineering , Polish Academy of Sciences . In its 13 chapters , you can find various examples of the development of methods and/or systems supporting medical diagnostics and therapy, related to biomedical imaging , signal and image processing , biomechanics , biomaterials and artificial organs and modeling of biomedical systems. It is obviously difficult to suggest an interdisciplinary book because it may appear inconsistent in some areas .

The field of biocybernetics and biomedical engineering (BBE) , which is not just interdisciplinary but even transdisciplinary , makes this the case in this instance . However , the book’s sporadic topic matter works to its benefit because it may be of interest to a sophisticated . audience of readers and researchers who represent the medical, biological, and technical spheres .
